Jamie's experience started in external audit with BDO USA. Jamie spent five years performing audits and other attest services for nonprofit organizations, private companies in various industries, and companies backed by private equity. Subsequently, Jamie spent two years doing technical accounting and financial reporting work, with a focus on early-stage biotech companies. Jamie worked with public companies on ongoing 10-Q and 10-K filing compilation. Additionally, Jamie worked with companies to compile Form S-1 in anticipation of their IPO. On the technical accounting side, Jamie performed research and documented accounting treatment for complex accounting areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), distinguishing liabilities from equity (ASC 480), and business combinations (ASC 805).
Outside of work, you can find Jamie snowboarding, hiking with their partner and three rescue pups, or at one of the many farmers markets in Central Vermont.
